Bridging the Gap: Street Smarts to School Smarts
Welcome to KW Math Tutoring, where I turn math anxiety into confidence through 1:1 support and strategic organization.
I find that most students get stuck not because they "can't do math," but because they haven’t learned how to organize their thinking. I specialize in bridging the gap between a student's natural "street smarts" and the "school smarts" required for academic success. I show students that they are already natural problem solvers; I simply provide the roadmap to apply those skills to mathematics.
The "Mental Tax" Solution
Take a multi-step Algebra problem, for instance. Many students feel a "mental tax" when they try to hold too many variables in their heads at once. This leads to skipped steps, chaotic notes, and avoidable mistakes.
At KW Math Tutoring, I help students offload that mental burden onto paper. I turn a chaotic thought process into a clear, step-by-step logical flow. By building structure—not just in their notebooks, but in their reasoning—math becomes less about memorization and more about strategy.
My Commitment
I believe every student can thrive with the right guidance. I am committed to making math less stressful and more rewarding by providing the structure and organization every student needs to thrive.
Find Your Perfect Math Fit
Whether your child needs a quick weekly boost or a complete "turn-key" math solution, I offer three distinct ways to build confidence and mastery in middle and high school mathematics.
1. Private 1:1 Tutoring: Personalized Support
Best for: Students in traditional schools or homeschoolers needing help with a specific textbook/topic.
My private sessions provide high-intensity, customized instruction tailored to your student's current school curriculum and unique learning gaps. I act as a strategic partner, helping students navigate their specific homework, prepare for upcoming exams, and master complex concepts that might be causing "math anxiety."
Format: In-person or virtual
Focus: Homework support, test prep, and customized troubleshooting
Rate: $65/hour
2. Premier Full Curriculum Instruction: Total Peace of Mind
Best for: Families who want to completely "outsource" math to a Master's-level educator.
In this exclusive program, I serve as the primary instructor for your student's math credit. Using the nationally acclaimed All Things Algebra curriculum, I handle the lesson planning, direct instruction, and daily grading. You get the rigor of a professional classroom with the 1:1 attention of a private tutor.
Format: Semi-weekly (Two 90-minute sessions per week)
The Benefit: Zero teaching or grading responsibility for parents.
Includes: Full curriculum materials, assessments, and progress reports for your homeschool portfolio.
Availability: Only 2 spots available per school year.

Enrollment Fee: $75.00 Yearly Registration & Materials Fee
Required at enrollment. This non-refundable fee covers student-specific consumable materials, including printing of unit packets, portfolios, and individual curriculum licensing.
3. Virtual Power Hour: The Strategic Advantage
Best for: Independent homeschoolers who want expert guidance without the cost of full private tutoring.
Join a small group (max 10) for a focused hour of proactive learning. We use a structured weekly rhythm to stay ahead of the curve. The first half of the hour is dedicated to solving the past week's "toughest nuts," while the second half previews upcoming complex units so students never feel "stuck" when working independently.
Format: Online small group (Monthly subscription)
Curriculum: Saxon Math - beginning 26/27 school year
Includes: Weekly 60-minute session, topic previews, and Q&A support.
Rate: $60/month, non-refundable
